Terms of service

These are the terms under which Sidereal is offered. They are short on purpose; the promises that matter most are in the privacy policy.

What Sidereal is — and is not

Sidereal casts astrological charts from real ephemeris math and offers readings composed by an AI seer. It is a reflective instrument: a way to think about your life, not a source of facts about your future. Readings are not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and they are not a substitute for a doctor, a counselor, a lawyer, or your own judgment. When life is heavy, the right next voice is a person you trust or a professional — the Seer will tell you the same.

The Seer's words are generated by an AI model. They are composed for you, checked against your actual chart where they name the sky, and offered warmly — but they can be wrong, and they carry no authority over your decisions.

Your account

You sign in with a code sent to your email address, so keeping that mailbox secure is what keeps your account secure. You must be at least 16 to use Sidereal. You are responsible for what you enter — including adding to your circle only people whose details you may fairly hold, as the privacy policy describes.

Your data

What you enter remains yours. You grant us only the licence needed to store it, cast it, and compose readings from it — that is, to run the app for you. You can take a copy or delete everything at any time from Settings.

Fair use

Don't use Sidereal to harass anyone, to probe or break the service, to impersonate others, or to enter details about people you have no business recording. We may close accounts that do, and we may decline or end service where the fair-use spirit of these terms is being worked around.

Paid features

A free sky costs nothing and keeps it: your chart cast in full, the readings the calendar asks for on your behalf, and 3 follow-ups in each of them. Individual — $8.99 a month, or $89.99 a year — adds seekings, the readings you open with a question of your own, and takes the ceiling off following up. Your first 7 days are free.

Subscriptions renew until you stop them. Who bills you depends on where you subscribed: on the web it is us, through Stripe, and your card is never seen by us; in the app it is Apple, under Apple's terms, and only Apple can refund or cancel it — from your Apple subscription settings. Either way you keep what you have paid for until the period you paid for ends. If a price changes we will tell you before it reaches you, and it takes effect at your next renewal, never mid-term. There are no hidden meters and no surprise charges — pricing tricks are not who we are.

The service, as offered

Sidereal is provided as it stands, without warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you have paid us for the service in the past twelve months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending things

You can leave any time by deleting your account in Settings — it takes effect immediately, as the privacy policy describes. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and we will say why when we do.

Housekeeping

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and Canada. If a change to them matters, we will announce it in the app before it takes effect. Questions belong at support@siderealseer.com.
